I am the founder of 13-zodiac astrology, (13星座) a sidereal system that uses the actual star constellations of the true zodiac. Known throughout Asia as ‘The Bergian System of Astrology’ I remain the world’s leading authority on this branch of learning.
I am sensitive to many energy streams, experience surges of second sight and feel the force of chi. I have pursued studies in astronomy and physics, astrology and psychology. As a child I possessed an intuitive grasp of scale and time and became a devotee of Blake. I am an advocate of the balance between reason and intuition. I do not oppose reason, but its tyranny over other human faculties.
I have produced more than one thousand articles and published over twenty-five books including two best sellers in Japan. In addition to appearing regularly to a networked audience of eleven million on Fuji television, I have written articles for all major Japanese newspapers and magazines. I have constructed 13-zodiac profiles for countless ‘A’ list Japanese celebrities and politicians, including several Prime Ministers and Leaders of the House.
My psyche/energy interpretation is a unique mix of eastern and western philosophies, fusing together my own research/insights, Jungian psychology, eastern energy minutiae and the OAB blood type.
So widespread is ‘Bergian 13-zodiac astrology’ in Japan that it explains the appearance of Ophiuchus in popular culture. In the Final Fantasy video game series, Ophiuchus is the final Stellazzio coin collected by Queen Stella. In the manga and anime series Fairy Tail, Ophiuchus is the Snake Charmer, a powerful celestial spirit whose gate is referred to as the 13th Gate.
The West is focusing on the truth of Bergian 13-zodiac astrology. Educated, enlightened individuals and organisations across the United States, Canada, South America and Europe are exploring and engaging positively with Ophiuchus and 13-zodiac astrology. Notable amongst these groups are ‘The 13 Sign Astrologers’, ‘The Siderealists’ and ‘RaStar’. These visionary innovators have my full-support in developing and building a 21 century 13-zodiac astrology formalism and thus securing 13-zodiac astrology as the only true, exact, psychological/spiritual, astrology aligning cosmic energy cascades with human bio-resonant living energy.

The symbol I proposed for Ophiuchus has come into worldwide use: a letter U (the fingers of the hand) with a superimposed tilde (the serpent). In 2009 my symbol was included in the Unicode standard as part of an emoji extension. My symbol has been added to the Unicode Miscellaneous Symbols codepage (U+26CE) as of version 6.0 (October 2010).
I worked in partnership with Jeff Mayo and Hans Eysenk in the role of ‘positional astronomy’ expert (celestial mechanics) while developing 13-zodiac astrology.
I have discovered how the movement of stars, planets, comets and asteroids through space affects the solar magnetic field; this in turn affects the geomagnetic field influencing collective and individual magneto/electro/biological sub-systems which I have termed: ‘bio-resonance’. Human bio-resonant systems are able to align with astro-resonant cycles.
When constructing charts I alone use dimension z in addition to the x, y coordinates. I allocated coordinate z an energy value of varying power relating to its distance and energy-output from the ascendant.

13-Zodiac (Bergian System of Astrology)
Western tropical astrology has long been detached from the constellations eponymous of the signs due to the axial precession of the equinoxes over the centuries since the introduction of the zodiac by the Chaldeans. In eastern sidereal astrology the astrological signs remain attached to the constellations while the vernal equinox has moved away from Aries over time. Sidereal astrology has traditionally only been practised in Indian Jyotisha,
I break from historical tradition to combine sidereal astrology with the IAU’s official constellation boundaries defined in 1930, creating a 13-sign system. This results in astrological signs that correspond directly to the time the Sun spends in their eponymous constellations. For example, the Sun spends forty-five days in Virgo and only six days in Scorpio. The 13th sign of the zodiac is Ophiuchus where the Sun passes during the first two weeks of December.

Ophiuchus (The Serpent Bearer)
Ophiuchus was known to the astrologers of antiquity. The constellation is described in the astrological poem of Manilius: the Astronomica, which is dated to around ‘0’ AD. The poem describes how Ophiuchus holds the serpent which encircles his body. Manilius describes the astrological influence of Ophiuchus when the constellation is in its rising phase as one which offers affinity with snakes and protection from poisons: –
‘He renders the forms of snakes innocuous to those born under him
They will receive snakes into the folds of their flowing robes
And will exchange kisses with these poisonous monsters and suffer no harm’
Later, an astrologer from the fourth century (anonymous 379) associated ‘the bright star of Ophiuchus’ with doctors and healers because of its association with poisons and medicines.

I am an independent New Age scientist, astronomer, astrologer and educator, a founder member of the New Age science movement and the world’s leading authority and founder of Bergian Astrology (Bergian 13-Zodiac Astrology). My research examines links between personality, social behaviours, mass cultural change, blood type, planetary and star constellation positions, cosmic beacons, ley-line energies and feng shui. I present lectures and am consultant to several research groups.
I continue to investigate communication systems looking at forbidden-zone transmission utilising subspace cosmic energy fields. My work examines the vacuum below the Higgs layers and Quantum Gravity layers to a structure upon which rests everything else. This structure is analogous to a fluid which theoretically can yield to modulation.

Astro22 Professional Astrology
Astro22 Professional Astrology contains the Bergian 13 Zodiac with a companion Bergian 13 House option. With this you can produce a really aesthetically pleasing 13 Zodiac Wheel. You may wish to interpret yourself or you may use the integral basic interpretation.
Unfortunately, Astro22 Professional Astrology is no longer available (2017).
Preceding the development of this software I calculated the Natal Chart the old fashioned way with a mountain of astronomical/nautical ephemeris tables, slide-rule and geometry set!
Prior to my current role I produced / wrote material for science education courses and electronic repair / training manuals. In 1988 I began writing “The Evening Sky”, a monthly New Age and cultural astronomy feature syndicated to local newspapers, schools, colleges, universities and released onto the Packet Switched Radio Network. “The Evening Sky” website ran 1995 -2005. During this period I was a monthly guest on BBC Eastern Counties and Three Counties Radio, independent Horizon and Chiltern Radio and the ‘expert spokesperson’ on numerous national radio and television networks. I received a COPUS award from the Royal Society in 1993 for “The Evening Sky” project.
